Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Lily Holbrook’s first cd has lyrics inspired by fairytales and a folk sound. Her light voice has a slight resemblance to Jewel’s.

The opening song The Snow is a bittersweet track with some lovely vocalising.

The plaintive Slipping is a powerful, lenghty piece that proves that Lily is very talented.

The closing ode to the resilient dandelion is also a very moving song.

The mood of the record is wistful and yearning in a very appealing way. All in all it’s a very nice record.
