Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Jamie plays piano and sing, though some songs also have guitar (played by Anthony Calabro).

Her voice is interesting. It’s not really a typical “singer’s voice”, if that makes any sense. It sometimes sounds like she’s a tad off-key, but she’s not. It’s just a little discordant; which adds a very cool effect.

The piano stylings remind me of Terami Hirsch and/or Pepper McGowan. In fact, her voice sounds a little like Pepper’s on some of the songs (most notably tracks 3 and 6) this is a good thing, indeed.

Stand out songs, “In My Vein” and “Blue and Green”.

If you can’t get enough of unique piano music that’s on the quirky edge of pop give Jaime Rattner a try.
