Juruda Music is fronted by singer Juruda and keyboardist Lars Boutrup. Their debut album is the work of experienced musicians, who come together to make sweet music.
Opener Starting from Scratch has a lovely lead vocal and a fluid melody.
Lost Time is a little darker and has a great almost bluesy feel that works well with the vocals.
The Magic Queen is a lovely song, Juruda’s vocals set against a supple melody with a fairytale lyric.
Shine is a quirky, synth-heavy mediation on the human condition.
Juruda Music’s album is well worth checking out.
