Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

This band has gotten a boat ton of reviews online for this record, but I’m game to throw in my 2 cents.
Teisha Helgerson is the voice (and drummer) of Amelia, which actually is a trio, not a person. Jesse Emerson and Scott Weddle are the other two; with other guest musicians sitting in.

They have a nice sound. Teisha Helgerson’s vocals have a sweet whispery quality, reminding me of Brenda Weiler. The sound is sort of lo-fi rhythmic bordering on bluegrass.

Thick as Thieves is really cool. Has a twangy, western sound. Shades of Chris Isaak.

This is a really cool record. I like it more with each listen. Mmmm….
