Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

“Brand New Dress” is LA’s Megan Monoram’s debut CD and what I nice way to start what I’m sure will be a long and successful career.

This recording is quite professional sounding. High quality. From the vocals to the instrumentation the production is top notch.

Manoram’s style is in the vein of light rock, alternative album, your Sarah McLachlans, your Shawn Colvins, etc. Very nice stuff indeed. Her voice can be soft and whispery or strong and powerful sounding beautiful always.

The music is fairly mellow but she does rock out a bit on “Dangerous Curve”.

“Beautiful Creatures” shows off the piano nicely. This one is reminiscent of early McLachlan.

“Silver Trains” is quite radio friendly. Really all the songs are good.

Magan Manoram is a class act and I hope to hear more of her in the future.
