Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

It’s not a career suicide of course, this is Lennon making a stripped-down but still very powerful album.

Opener “Jacob” sees her use her voice and piano to their best effect. The lyric is poignant and bittersweet.

“I Hear” is a passionate, strong song.

“Goodbye” is a quirky little number. Lennon’s acidic lyric about a treacherous man is very evocative.

“Main gravel Road” is just an amazingly lovely song. Lennon’s sweet and tender voice suits the song well.

“Brake of Your Car” is a good song that thrives on its restrained arrangement.

This is a fine album.

Lennon’s ‘Career Suicide’ is beautifully crafted. Many of the songs are also featured on ‘5:30 Saturday Morning’ only they aren’t just piano. I recommend 5:30 as well, this is just as the reviewer said, ‘stripped down’, it’s deliciously beautiful and at times tragicly mind blowing. Lennon’s vocals are extremely sexy and this would delite anybody.
