Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Jennifer Parisgnault previews her forthcoming album with an acoustic EP.
The opener “Heart of Mine” shows her crystalline voice at its best. She plays the violin beautifully here.
“Last Dance” is an elegant song in a contemporary folk style. The lyrics of a sad goodbye are very moving.
The title track provides a message of hope in a hopeless time. Parsignault sings of being saved in a way that makes it impossible not to believe her.
“Found” is a lovely piano ballad. This EP makes me want to hear the album right now, but it also stands on its own.

Comment: I also received this CD for review just after Anna Maria reviewed it. It’s very nice. A tad show-tune-y at times but a nice recording.

Comment: Jennifer shines on this CD. I’ve followed her since her first CD and she continues to show that there really is some talent out there. As an artist who writes all her own music, plays piano, keyboards, violin and sings with the voice of an Angel, she is a breath of fresh air in a very polluted musical era. I can’t wait to hear the soon to be released full album of “From the Dark”. Sit up and take note of this rising star.
