Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

I’ve listened to this CD many times. Sometimes it’s perfect background music and sometimes I can’t concentrate on what I’m doing because I’m distracted by the songs. Something will jump out at my and I’ll perk up and grab the jewel case (another reason I hate the digital download thing).

Melineh Kurdian has a lovely voice. It is some times sweet and sometimes strong. She even reminds me of Ani DiFranco when she (Ani) shows her softer side.

These songs are all well-written “Polk” (pop-folk, not polka) http://www.collectedsounds.com/musictypes.html

“Icarus Kiss” is probably my favorite; it’s certainly a stand out. It makes me want to sing along. The tempo changes make it even more interesting.

“Bleed” has a great guitar intro. It’s a great song. Very radio friendly.

This is a great effort and one that will be loved by many a music fan.
