Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
Twilight Babies is Alison Lewis, Adam Walker and Mikey Brown.
They’ve been described as “trip-hop meets dream pop” and I’d say that’s just about right on. This is some cool music! (plus it makes really cool visuals on my windows media player, but I realize that’s beside the point.)
“Folorn” makes me want to dance. “Dust” is slow and sexy. “Every Little Mistake” shows off Alison’s sultry voice. “Belly” sounds like it could be right off of Portishead’s Dummy CD.
All the songs on this recording make great party music.
This is a fantastic debut album. I’m looking forward to hearing more of them in the future. If you like Portishead, Two Loons for Tea or just some cool trip-hoppy stuff, check these guys out.
If this interests you also check out Alison Lewis’ solo work.
