Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
“In the Garden” is the Shroud’s third CD. Their music is gothic in nature but also has trip hop and rock influences.
Lydia Fortner’s persuasive lead vocals take centre stage to great effect here.
“Vision” is a brilliant up tempo rock song that would sound great on the radio.
“Black” is sparse and sensual with a Portishead-esque vibe to it.
“Let Go” recalls mid-eighties 4AD drampop with spiralling guitars and an ethereal feel.
“In the Garden” is a record that stands out in its genre and is certain to win the Shroud new fans.
