Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Jakarta Skyscraper makes good use of the dissonant minor chords…and I love it.

“Open Gates” has a bit of a messy feeling to it. There’s some percussive element that adds an odd but cool layer to it.

“These Guitars” is a slow sleepy dirgy track that is good for chilling.

The instrumental track, “Jakarta” has an Indian flavor to it and is quite nice.

The vocals, when present are a good match for the music and don’t overpower it but add another subtle layer.

This is an odd but nice recording that will appeal to folks who like their music slow and easy.
