Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Etyl is a French group fronted by one Eglatine Hernand. Their music is a pleasant and modern form of electronica.

“Naoiq” features a nicely played violin by Christelle Lassort. The vocal lead is strong and shows off Hernand’s talent as a singer.

“Bulle” is flavored by the use of strings and has a frantic tempo.

“Un fois en bas”; features a neat dose of scratching and an elegiac mode. It sounds like fellow countrywoman Emilie Simon.

“Kit” is nicely chilled and Hernand’s whispered vocal is set against a jazzy backdrop.

Etyl’s debut is very nice.
