Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

A woman and a piano, sometimes that’s all you need. At least if the woman is as gifted as Reba Hasko. She plays beautifully and sings curious but interesting lyrics.

“Crimson” has some truly inspired piano-playing and an intense vocal.

“The Glamouratti” is a satirical song with a lovely melody.

“I’m For You” is a beautiful love song. Reba Haskos delivery is soft and heart-rendingly true.

“The Magic of Stephin Merritt” is a tribute to the Magnetic Fields maestro. Hasko gets her love for his work across well and has penned an impressive song of her own.

Album closer “Heavy Rescue” is a becalmed ballad with great lyrics. Hasko radiates quiet intensity throughout.

Its an inspired debut that is to be followed by an album Hasko has just started recording. It’s going to be a wonderful record if this is anything to go by.
