Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

This is a little different than the stuff I usually listen to. This is a bit harder, more rock than pop. Khierstin’s voice is very rocky, with that screamy edge.

She does a wild (wicked?) cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game”. I love that song and personally prefer it slow and sultry, but this is a good treatment as well. It gives it a more “don’t f*ck with me’ feel rather than a ‘please don’t hurt me’ feel. Both versions are good.

I can see Khierstin’s music on the radio; it has a certain appeal that I think the masses would like. If you know me, you might think that’s an insult and I don’t mean it to be. She’s not trite or pedestrian at all…just that the songs and her style seem to be appealing to many.
