Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Kelley Dolan returns with a second album after a lengthy absence. But she’s hardly been idle; she’s produced a record by David D’Alessio.

Her sound seems to be more pop this time, without losing the edge of her previous record.

After the fall is a radio friendly but clever little song with Dolan’s sweet vocals dominating.

Elvis Lamps has a decidedly odd lyric and a country sound that’s new for Dolan. She wears it well.

The love of Molly Ozone is chirpy synth pop that allows Dolan a charming tune despite the lyric about doomed love.

The closing cover of Bowie’s Oh! You Pretty Things from Hunky Dory is as unexpected as it’s good.

It’s great to have Kelly Dolan back and this is a wonderful album.
