Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Mercurine is Mera Roberts and Byron Brown. Their electronic-based music is very accomplished.

“Shakyshakee Bells” is a bright, up-tempo track with stunning vocals by Roberts.

“Gone too Far” is darker and it suits them well. It’s a little like Garbage but also has some Depeche Mode thrown in.

“Bridgeburner” is catchy and vaguely sinister. Roberts voice takes on some of Siouxsie’s haughtiness here.

“Pact” is rhythmic and driving.

“Nu Wave Fairy” is as charmingly retro as the title implies. It would be a hit at any eighties revival night. (What? You don’t have those?).

Mercurine have made a great record.
