Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Pitch Black Dream is singer Bernadette McCallion and musician Rich Gaglia. Their album has a dreamy, electronic based sound and sweet melodies. “Feel You” is a summery song with ethereal vocals by McCallion and funky guitars by Gaglia.

“Never Going Home Again” is up tempo, but sad at heart. McCallion’s voice is framed by restlessly buzzing synths. It’s a song that looks to latter-day Everything But The Girl for inspiration.

“Until I” is as soft as a feather with Bernadette McCallion delivering her siren-like vocals with plenty of conviction.

“Just Another Night” has McCallion’s innocent-sounding voice set to a fluid soundscape.

It’s a pleasant and beguiling record that should soundtrack many lazy Sunday afternoons.
