Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Kat Parson’s begins her collection of songs with lyrics like this, “I have no will power when it comes to you, when it comes to you I am always in the mood” Who wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of that?

The following songs are a nice blend of pop and rock with good strong vocals, which can be sweet or sultry; skilled instrumentation; and creative songwriting.

“Miss Me” is quite radio friendly. Reminds me of a more mature Vanessa Carlton.

We wrap up the CD with a nice rendition of the Gershwin classic, “Someone to Watch Over Me” which really shows Kat’s vocal ability.

This is a solid AAA recording that could easily share a shelf with Shawn Colvin, Paula Cole and the like.

One interesting note: there are four photos of Ms Parsons on the jewel case and in each one of them she looks like a different person. She could be a spy. Of course, she’s gorgeous (no matter the angle) so she’d be noticed for sure.
