Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Simone Stevens is a charming new acquaintance. She has a sweet, slightly husky voice and an intriguing stripped-down folk sound.

“In Your Blood” is a lovely cross between Victoria Williams and Nathalie Merchant.

“Dragonfly” is minimal but expressive and has a great violin part.

“Pete’s song” is another lovely song rife with gorgeous singing and a fluid melody.

The countryfied “Let It dissolve” is a sharp delight. Stevens’ vocal is great as ever.

“Popeye’s Blues” is a treat from start to finish.
