Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

I reviewed Kristilyn’s debut album, The Uncut Version. At that time she reminded me very much of Sarah Slean. But this EP shows she’s created a more unique sound. Not that there’s anything wrong with sounding like Sarah Slean, that’s a good thing indeed. It’s just nice to carve out one’s own sound too.

She has a girlish, sweet voice that sounds perfect with her songs and her lovely piano playing.

Masquerade is a lovely jumpy tune that borders on cabaret. This is probably her most Sleanish song.

Enter Reality is a rhythmic almost dirgy song. It’s very cool.

This six track EP is a look ahead to her full-length album that will be out in the fall (2007). It will be called The Bee Tree. If this record is a good indicator, it will be fantastic. I’m looking forward to it.
