Laura Thomas has a terrific voice and a way with her acoustic style that appeals to me.
“Slow” is a feisty song that manages to be as strong as Ani DiFranco at her best.
“Louder” is a great song with a lovely lead vocal. “Rain” is subtly delivered and puts emphasis on Thomas’ soulful singing. The socially conscious lyric hits home too.
“Sweep of the Ocean” is a sweet little song with dreamy harmonies. The version of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” works well too.
“Slow” is a lovely record and Laura Thomas is a gifted singer.
