Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Lead singer, Skye Marsden has a smooth, sweet almost girly voice but it is also sultry. It sounds great for this genre, which I would describe as atmospheric electronica with a twinge of 80s to it. But they also put on an Evanescence spin in at times and really rock out.

The songwriting is interesting and the musicianship is top notch. This is a worthwhile recording, I hope so see more of Darkblueworld in the form of longer CD someday.

Stand out songs: “Shine” and “Sin Coming In”

Note: There seems to be some confusion as to the track listing. The copy I have is as shown at the left. CD Baby shows almost the same list with the exception of the addition of “Shadow In My Heart” which is not on my copy. However, on the j-card on my copy it lists: 1. A Simple Tale 2. Shine 3. Sin Coming In 4. Undone 5. Ordinary 6. Flypaper 7. Adore Me. Yet on the website it shows the list as: 1. Shine 2. Ordinary 3. Sin Coming In 4. A Simple Tale 5. Undone 6. Flypaper 7. Adore Me.

Comment: this band is one of the best in the world and this album shows the signs of great things to come from skye and paul. Skye sings with an almost angellic voice which gets interrupted regularly with haunting tunes and rock out guitar work. if i had to reccommend a band to watch out for in 2005/06 it would be DarkBlueWorld, cause they rock
