Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Wow, disco is back! Lindsey Yung’s debut CD, “The Return” is the return to drum machines, synthesizers, hand claps and echo-y vocals. If you yearn for Donna Summer this may be your relief.

Yung’s voice (though at times distorted) is solid and pleasant. The lyrics are maybe a bit more intricate than most disco music, but not life changing. But I’m sure that’s not her goal. She’s not writing political activism, she’s writing fun.

Stand out songs: “The Return” takes it down a notch, and “Pimp Tasteful” will really get your disco on.
