Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

I had not previously heard of Shannon Curtis and I’m surprised. This is her third release and her songs have also been featured on TV. Not to mention that her music is completely up my alley.

Piano pop songs about love. Really, what’s not to get, right? Plus she has a really pretty voice that’s crystal clear and welcoming.

This records starts out on a cool, marchy fun note with I Like to Think. This song will stick with you.

Boomerangs and Seesaws is a remake of the tune from her previous 2007 release.

Get Outta Town sounds like it belongs in a film or TV show for sure. I just see a young girl running down the street to this. I can see it being a big radio hit.

Actually all the songs have catchy mainstream melodies. I guess that would be my only critique. It’s a little too mainstreamy for me to listen to everyday. I like more of an edge. But this is a very solid release by a good songwriter with a lovely voice.
