Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

I’ve reviewed several of Peter Lacey’s records and they’re always good. This new one has a fanciful title and some fun songs.

The title song is a stately Beatles-y reverie of times gone and times to come.

First Light is a dreamy and fluid acoustic song of the sort that Lacey does well.

Maudlin Lane is an up-tempo ditty that has some of the Fab Four’s sense for melody and whimsy.

The closing They’re Playing Our Tune is a neat way to round off another fine effort by Peter Lacey. It’s a melancholy yet hopeful song.
