Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Those who have read my reviews before know I’m not a fan of blues music. But even I can tell that this is well done. I am also not a guitar player but I can tell she is a very good one.

These songs have cool funky rhythms and melodies and her voice is a great match. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% blues either. There are also some Amerciana and pop sounds here.

Some of the songs sound a little outdated. For instance, I can see Huey Lewis and News doing track 4, “What You Want”.

But then “Forgot to Forget You” comes on and I love it. Funky beat, interesting guitar and clever lyrics. This one’s almost rock-a-billy.

If you’re looking for fun, rootsy, bluesy rock, check out “Following a Dream”.
