Review by [Amy Lotsberg] Producer of Collected Sounds

It was strange for me to see Beth play when it’s not in my home! This was sort of a last minute show that Beth came in for special.

Despite the lack of sleep, delay of airline, and a nasty-ass cold, Beth put on a very wonderful and professional show.

She sang many of my favorites (see set list) and she did them very well despite the little frog who had taken up residence in her throat. It was really only noticeable a couple of times and would only be so to those who don’t know what Beth’s voice is like full force. I was with someone who hadn’t heard her live before and she said she couldn’t tell.

Anyway, it was a fun show and an emotional one. Beth talked a little about grief and when her father died, how it hit her and how she dealt with it. Even though this was the third time I’d heard the story, I got a bit weepy.

Great show. Can’t wait to see her again. If you get a chance to see her live, please do so.
