This show almost didn’t happen. We’ve had a great decline in attendance lately. But my lovely fellow music lovers stepped up to the plate and supported not only this fabulous independent musician but the Collected Sounds House Concert series as well. I big sloppy thank you kiss goes out to all of you who attended. I really really appreciate it.
We still had 8 no shows, but had a solid, attentive; CD purchasing group and it was definitely worth it.
Even though Jodi Shaw arrived in town with a cold, she’s a trooper. She just downed some Sudafed and tea and went on with the show.
I think she sounded just great. Probably because of the cold medication, the show was very laid back and at times it even sounded like she was speaking in slow motion. Of course, that could have been just my perception since I was on cold meds also. But Jodi told some funny stories about her travels in Europe (she likes to take photos of bathrooms). She sang some great songs and we had a wonderful time.
I did record it so when I’ve had a chance to listen I will be able to get the set list up. For now, you can just enjoy some photos:
