Daphne Robberechts has recorded a charming ep as Daya in French.
Mes Yeux Rouges tells of trying to hide tears from an ex and has a delightful melody.
Just Une Fille is equally deceptively simple but with great soul and style. Daya recalls Carla Bruni’s artless and lovely songs and is an arresting singer in all her softness and sweetness.
She should do astounding things on a full-length, and hopefully she’ll get the chance soon.
