Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Wendy Ip’s music is full of pleasing melodic hooks and perceptive lyrics. It’s easy on the ears, in a good way.

“Take me Away” boasts a sunny melody and an adorable vocal. The words are melancholy but it doesn’t color the music that much. Wendy’s love of the Beatles shows here.

“Just Wendy 2003” is a poignant song of a girl who wont grow up.
“She wants to be Peter Pan, but she’ll always be just Wendy” she sings.

“Never Should Have gone to Hollywood” is an irresistible pop song. It sounds very English and has echoes of Bowie and Beatles.

“Always Home” is simply a great song. Wendy’s piano stands out here.

This album is a great listen and should make fans of smart pop very happy.
