First of all, cool CD cover.

Luckily the music is pretty cool as well. Yola’s voice reminds me al little of Gwen Stefani. She has the same pouty-girl thing happening.

The music is rhythmic pop that makes you want to bounce around. Most of these songs would fit nicely on a party mix CD.

She does a cover of Bananarama’s “Venus”. It’s much more growly than the original so she makes it her own. Very nice.

Stand out Songs: “I Wanna Be Loved By You” (nice piano, mellower), and “Saying Goodbye” (her voice really shines here).
