Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

The dreampop sound of Ether Aura’s second album is very accomplished. Songwriter and guitarist Tony Hamera has penned some impressive songs with singer Kate Hinote.

“Chemistry” sees Hinote singing sweetly behind dreamy reverb, and its echoes Curve and Lush. It’s poppy and catchy in a nineties way.

“Tell Me That I’m Nothing” sees Hinote backed by a swoon of melody as she emotes nicely.

“The Other End” tiptoes gently into Americana territory and makes a nice Mazzy Star-y song.

“Twist” is a neat tune and has Hinote declaring “I will hurt you” ever so sweetly.
