Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

When I heard the first few words, “Jesus saves” I thought, “Hoo, boy, another Christian CD” but that was not the case. The line is actually, “the first light of the Jesus saves sign flashes up by the road side” so if only I were really paying close attention there would be no cause for alarm.

Instead I find that Katie Sawicki has a nice folk/bluegrass sound. Her voice is pleasing and fits the music well. The songwriting melodies lack excitement, but the lyrics are very impressive. Sometimes it’s hard to make a banjo sound cool but Sawicki succeeds.

The production is great. Very professional sounding. This is a nice relaxing listen.
