Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Mya Rose Wilkins has quite a distinct voice. It’s very strong and has a nice deep tone to it. It can sound both gutsy and sweet.

Folk music sometimes runs the risk of being a tad boring. The songwriting is good enough that there’s no danger of that here.

On some of the songs, the instrumentation is minimal. While there aren’t a lot of instruments, the sound is pretty full. But then there are tracks that involve several instruments along with backing vocals. The songs themselves hold up to both.

Rocky is a nice instrumental guitar piece and a nice way to end the record.
