Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Astra Dolphin makes a pleasant and addictive debut with this effort.

Please let Me sees her use her airy voice to its best effect. The melody is simple, but her way with a tune make sit interesting.

“My story has just begun”

she sings, aptly.

The title song is quiet and folksy with the singer at her most expressive.

Go there is sweetly strummed and a bit more strident than the preceding songs. Dolphin’s vocal is a little bit hesitant, but soon she gains in confidence.

Not Too Late is quasi-psychedelic and struggles with squalls of distant guitar. Dolphin dips into Toyah-ish experimentalism with confidence here. And I mention Toyah as a compliment, lest you think otherwise.

It’s still early days for the singer, but she already shows much promise.

Yet another refreshing album from Astra Dolphin… I am aware that this is Astra Dolphin’s 4th album!

To me Astra Dolphin’s heart and soul definitely shine through the lyrics and music within this album.

I also notice an experimental twist as mentioned in this review.

Astra seems to develop creatively with each album I’ve heard.

Please keep up the great work, hope Astra Dolphin gains the exposure she deserves…

A really different sound, which is good and pleasing to listen to, the lyrics Astra Dolphin writes seem to come from the heart, not contrived like some music.

Astra’s music seems to put life/issues in to perspective in her style of writing.

Thanks for making some very easy listening songs, I hope that your efforts will be rewarded.

Astra’s work is beautifully crafted and her excellent vocal glides over her unique and incredible sound. A truly gifted artist.
