Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
The first few strums of the opening song remind me of George Michael’s Faith, but luckily it takes a different turn as Adrian Emberley starts singing.
She’s got a really girly voice, the kind which I prefer to hear in small doses, but the songs are pretty short anyway.
The City is a cool tune with some funky rhythms.
This Story is one of those songs where they singer tries to fit a ton of words into short phrases. So it’s got a sort of quirky rhythm.
The music is poppy jazz or jazzy pop. It’s fun, it’s cute (though at times overly so) and it’s well done. It grows on me more with each listen.
