Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

When I first saw the title “More to Love” it made me think of the phrase in terms of when you’re speaking of someone who has put on a little weight. I thought maybe that was an unfortunate name for the CD. But imagine my surprise when I put in the CD and heard lyrics like this:

There’re tons of us around the world More to love More sugar in the shack Booty in the back Fruit upon the rack And more to luh, luh, luh, love

This is a groovy, funky song with clever lyrics.

“Awaken” is also pretty funky.

The rest of the CD is bonus tracks that were written by Robin in the 80s. While these songs also have a funk feel they sure do have an 80s sound to them as well. What with the keyboards and chimes “Love Will Find it’s Way Back Home” could have been featured in your favorite 80s film. Cool.

Robin Mink’s voice is strong and clear and the music is catchy and easy on the ears.
