Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Norine Braun makes music that’s impossible to pigeonhole. She covers a lot of ground on this record.

The soulful “Intimate Hour” deals with therapy. Brown raps capably on it.

“Buffalo Nights” is a freefloating track with a jazzy, laid-back vibe.

“J’en Suis Desolee” is funky and cool. There doesn’t seem to be a genre Braun can’t call her own. Yet she manages to make her album a cohesive whole.

“I’m the 1” rocks out fiercely. Braun delivers a feisty vocal.

Then there’s “Maya”, her sweet ode to Maya Angelou.

If you like your music eclectic try “Now and Zen”.
