Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

This is the debut CD from New Jersey’s Kerry Fernandez. Through she plays many instruments, she considers herself primarily a bass player. The bass guitar being the instrument of choice when writing her songs on the bass. Knowing this, you’d expect the songs to be very bass heavy but they’re not. She lends equal time to all the instruments, including her voice, which is very nice.

I would say of all the comparisons made to Kerry from other artists the one I see fit the best is Paula Cole. Though musically not as dark as Cole, the fire and passion in the vocals is reminiscent.

This is a nice recording.
