Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Belgian band Lunascape have material from two European releases to make this cd.

Singer Kyoko Baertsoen and Walter Hilhorst make atmospheric, ethereal-sounding music.

“Mindstalking” is sublimely haunting, the vocal set against a lush orchestral arrangement.

“Tears from the Moon” was covered by Conjure One with assistance from Sinéad O’Connor, but this original remains the best version. Baertsoen sounds teary-eyed against a lovely backdrop.

“Carolyn” is a new song that rocks out a little.

“Severed Heart” is a ballad that could make stones cry. Baertsoen is easily the equal of any big name chanteuse you could care to name.

In all it’s a perfect introduction to a gifted band.
