Album Review: Rise by Motorbaby

Album Name: Rise
Artist: Motorbaby
Year/Label: 2001 / Ten Wings Music

Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Motorbaby is Sharon Middendorf’s band. Her rock songs sound like they could be instant hits.

Middendorf’s voice is both tough and seductive on “You Can’t Download me” which is a storming anthem in the making. The title track carries echoes of late seventies Blondie in a very nice way. “Motorbaby” is a very driven glam rock sounding song.

There are many bands out there who are more successful than Motorbaby, but if they get the chance they might just make it to the top.
