Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Halflight are a new band whose debut ep is lovely. Vocalist Sarah Howells has an angelic voice rather like Harriet Wheeler from the Sundays. Halflights music is in the same, slightly melancholy vein.
“Where the Pin Drops” is a jangly delight of a song. “Treading Water” is a more low-key but still luminescent track. Howells voice shines here and a cello is used nicely.
“Photos” closes the ep in a fashion that makes me want to hear their full-length. It’s a seemingly simple, gorgeous song.
