Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Well, I fell in love with Bitter:Sweet some time ago when a friend of mine discovered them on MySpace. I ordered their CD, The Mating Game immediately. While I was waiting for it to arrive I would sit in front of my computer reloading their MySpace page so I could hear those songs over and over again.

Once I got it, I played it pretty non-stop for several months.

So I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a remix of songs that to me seemed perfect already.

But I like it. I don’t love all the mixes, but many of them are quite cool.

The remix of Heaven is wonderful and super duper loungy.

I don’t know if I’d recommend getting this one instead of the original, but if you love the original like I do, you’ll likely enjoy hearing these songs in a different light. The beauty is that they’re great songs, so they sound good regardless of the treatment they get.
