Stacie Rose is to me a more mature Michelle Branch. The song styles are similar, but Stacie’s are much better written and performed – in my opinion anyway, and I actually like Michelle Branch.
“Checkin’ Out” is catchy and clever.
“I’m gonna be the first female pirate
With the first female parrot
Who won’t talk back to me…”
On “Your Girl” Stacie’s voice reminds me of Harriet Wheeler of the Sundays…which is a nice thing indeed! Very nice song.
If guitar driven, well written pop is your thing then so is Stacie Rose.
