Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

How many times have I said that Bev Stanton is prolific? Oh, just did it again. Well she is. This album is remixes of frequent vocal partner Lisa Moscatiello’s “Trouble From the Start”. “

“I Can Dream (Exile)” becomes a slow moving dream here. “Because of You (Brand New Me)” uses a cover of Dusty Springfield’s song very loosely, creating a trancey song in its stead.

“Astray” works beautifully in this incarnation, the vocal playing off the backing well.

The trip-hoppy reading of “La Musica (Come Sinfonia)” might be the best track here. It becomes alien and haunted in a way the original doesn’t even if it’s lovely.

“Troubled” is a fine spin-off from its patent album and works well on its own.
