Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

English band Fiel Garvie have been around for a while byt have only managed to release their debut now.

Fronted by excellent singer Anne Reekie, they sound like a contemproary answer to long lost band Heart Throbs. Like them they explore issues of the heart with a sharp lyrical edge and shimmering guitars.

The jazzy “Glass Faced Warrior” recalls a less playful Bjork while the beautiful “For What I love” is darker musically.

Fiel Garvie are a special band and should be around making their disturbingly lovely music for a long time.
