Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Italy’s Roma Amor have a soft yet dramatic sound on this debut recording. Singer Euski has a suitable voice for their sound.
They cover Marc Almond’s risqué Mother Fist and it sounds as great as ever.
Euski’s vocals are coquettish to an accordion-led background.
Jacques Brel’s Next gets a cool rendition, Euski getting to the heart of the seedy tale.
You Haven’t Changed is a song with a bare bones backing and an assured vocal.
Ferro e Fuoco sung in Italian is a charming folksy song with a great vocal.
Roma Amor’s debut can be a little rough around the edges, but its spirit is greater than that. It’s well worth hearing.
