It took a few listens for me to get into this one. It’s a little harder than I am used to. The title song is probably my least favorite on the EP. It just feels “done before”.
The record picks up a little with ” Despise You” which has a Mighty Bosstones sound just because of the horns.
“The Only Way” slows us down a notch or ten and it’s really a pretty song. It really shows off her voice, which is very appealing.
Take a listen on CD Baby and see if it’s something you’d like. It’s not something I would choose, personally. But I can appreciate that this is a very talented band and any who like this type of music would enjoy it I’m sure.
