Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Standfast are Susan and Patrick and they are from Sweden.

The vocals are soft and whispery. Almost cutesy. But they fit in nicely with the whole sound.

The cover says “RIYL: Sia, Feist, The Cardigans, Master and Sync.” I’d say of those The Cardigans would be the closest. But they’re not quite as poppy as The Cardigans. These melodies cute and catchy. They remind me a little of Club 8.

They have quite a bit of synth, but not enough to really call them electronica. Not in my book anyway. I’d call them mellow electronic pop.

The song Getting Off actually has a cowbell. It’s such a great song, it’s definitely a stand out for me.

There’s a nice glockenspiel type sound on Ashes.

I really like these songs more with each listen. This album makes me feel happy. It’s just uplifting, the sound is so sunny and sweet you can’t help but feel good.
