Album Name: Burned My Ass
Artist: Annabelle Chvostek
Year/Label: 2005 / Independent
Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Annabelle Chvostek is a member of the trio Wailin Jennys as well as a powerful solo artist.
Her new ep is a fantastic piece of work.
“Moya Hlaya” has a gorgeous lead vocal and deft guitar playing. Despite being acoustic, it rocks fiercely.
“Food on my Face” continues the fiery spirit and toys with rockabilly.
“Slaves” ends the ep beautifully as Chvostek sings sadly and wisely.
A marvelous but way too short record.

Comment: I agree with Anna Maria’s review — this is *great* music. The Wailin’ Jennys are really good too, but I really hope Annabelle continues to produce and distribute her solo material.
